Chandani Patel, DDS
Dr. Patel was born and raised in New Jersey. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Cell Biology and Neuroscience at Rutgers University. She received her dental degree (DDS) at New York University and upon completion did a year-long General Practitioner residency at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Patel then moved to Philadelphia where she spent one year in an oral surgery training program at the University of Pennsylvania. Shortly after, she worked as a general dentist in private practice for another year before she moved to New York City to complete her pediatric dentistry residency at St. Barnabas Health System. Most recently, Dr. Patel worked in private practice before joining our team.
Dr. Patel’s passion for dentistry started at a very young age. Not only was she walking into her dentist’s office with a smile, she would somehow walk out with an even bigger and cleaner one. As she got older, Dr. Patel wanted to translate this passion for oral health to a career where she loves coming into work everyday knowing that she is going to make a difference in her patient’s lives. It gives her the greatest satisfaction knowing that she has the unique ability to instill good habits in her patients that she developed herself at their age.
Furthermore, Dr. Patel was heavily involved in clinical research during her residency which has continued to be a part of her professional life. She also attends conferences and reads various articles so that she can provide the most up-to-date and evidence-based care to her patients and guidance to their parents.
Dr. Patel currently lives in Philadelphia. Outside of the office, she likes to peloton, travel and spend time with friends and family. She also likes to cook and explore new restaurants in the city and surrounding South Jersey/Philadelphia area.
